Blog Terms and Conditions

The members of this class will be participating in a class blog for the purposes of:

• Responding to and commenting on curriculum topics
• Impromptu / in-progress critiques on ART 182 projects
• Practice considering varied points of view on a topics and curriculum
• Discussing current trends in the design industry
• Peer sharing and collaboration

By posting to this blog you signify you agree to the following terms and conditions:

• The student will use proper English grammar and spelling, avoiding the use of chat / IM language.
• The student will use appropriate language
• • I will not use any curse words or inappropriate language.
  • I will not use aggressive or slanderous words or provoke anyone.
• The student will have a professional attitude towards my work and that of others through only positive, constructive criticism.
• The student will practice internet safety by not posting private information such as using my full name, or the full names of my classmates.
• The student will obide by the school's code of student conduct and code of academic integrity
• The student will not plagiarize or infringe on copyright.

The student recognizes that breaking any of these rules could lead to any of the following consequences depending on severity and repetition:

• warning
• deletion of some or all of my posts
• temporary loss of blogging privileges
• permanent loss of blogging privileges
• referral to the school administration for further action

The student understands that this could mean the loss of grade points depending on the severity and repetition of the infraction.

Please note that all posts and comments are moderated for content by the instructor.

CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATING THESES TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Any violation of the above terms and conditions shall make the violator(s) subject to immediate action of any of the following: suspension or termination from blog privileges, loss of all related grade points and/or referral to discipline through the school code of conduct or code of academic integrity, where applicable. At the teacher’s discretion, a warning will be given in the case of minor infractions of this policy.
